How bout a truck tire ? Northernvalk you might want to sit down. I had this delivered today . Radar Argonite rv4 8 ply truck tire. 195/65/16

Dang Rob, can't wait for the tire report.  That thing looks serious  Shocked Shocked
2funny you'll get to see it in Roanoke. I've got about 10 k left on my current tire, but it would be cutting it too close. So, I decided to go "All In" . I'll likely put it on in a week or 2. If it's too weird I'll switch  to the tire on my Standard.

Yeah, I'm thinking that might just be the last tire you ever need (on that bike).

I'm also interested in the ride report on that one....and wouldn't mind seeing a side profile as well.

I run the Austone on my Legacy Valk and a low profile CT on my 2014 Valk.

With the extra ply's of a truck tire, what are your thoughts on shaving it on the shoulders to produce a rounded profile? Best of both worlds?

26 lbs. That is 3 lb. more than the 195/60's I've been running. Do you think it will be an issue ? To be honest, I hadn't even thought about the extra weight till you asked.

Nah, my Riken weighs 24. Might feel jus' a hair slower to turn in (more mass spinning) but I doubt you'll even notice it.
Lot of the GeezerGlider's run flats weigh that much & more.
Thing sure does look "beefy" 2funny Caint wait for the report cooldude

It's actually got a pretty well rounded profile already. After I get it mounted I'll get some better pics up.

Why in the world would a rider shave down a tire in an area that's going to wear if used as a motorcycle rear tire?    Shocked   This cam action you allude to is something I have never encountered.    Not going to suggest it can't occur just never experienced it with my Austone Taxi Tire.

I wouldn't even consider some of the wider and squarer CTs some of our brothers mount but, if that is what turns their crank, so be it.     Come to InZane and ride a few of the different options.    Reference sport bikes, I have no clue or interest.
