Even if every teenager had to watch this video many still won't stop because they think it can't happen to them.

My wife's ex husbands best friend and wife were killed by a teen girl texting and driving. She crossed the center and hit them head on on their motorcycle. He died at the scene she died at the hospital. As far as I know she never got anything.

Another one in the news a few years ago. Several friends were out riding late. One got stopped at a light on coliseum Blvd north of Ft Wayne. His friends got stopped at the next light. A 16 year old girl messing with her phone hit him from behind killing him. My buddy who is a city cop was called to the scene. The girls mom made it to the scene later to console her daughter. While hugging her crying daughter she told my buddy that "she doesn't see what her daughter had done wrong". He basically told her to ask the guy under the yellow sheet.  Again as far as I know she got nothing......

Its not just teenagers, there are plenty of adults that have a phone shoved in their face no matter what they are doing!

Those teenagers needed to be arrested and charged with murder 2nd degree if they killed someone while they were texting and driving. No exceptions. I wouldn't have a problem finding them guilty and putting them away for life. Maybe some media following their whole ordeal might make the others think .

It's so effin simple yet the phone companies refuse to do it. Above 5 M P H the cursed things cut off for use EXCEPT for 9 1 1. Course we are still dealing with wrist slaps for drunk driving. Far too many personal encounters with dumb asses thinkin-WRONGLY-that they can drive and do "other" things while attempting to drive. RIDE SAFE and Pay attention to those who don't.
Today is the tommorow you worried about yesterday. If at first you don't succeed screw it-save it for nite check.  1964  1968 U S Navy. Two cruises off Nam.

I had 2 high school girls in car in front of me flip me off when I beeped the horn at them from behind to get going at a green light.   then they went right back onto texting both of them while pulling away from stop sign so I BLEW by them ASAP.

they just asking for trouble and get shot nowadays doing that to wrong person

I do not think if I am paying attention to others on the road at stop lights, etc. that a day goes by without seeing someone using their cell phones while driving, especially at stop lights.  I like BEEPING my horn at them to get GOING!!!!! and get their _ead out of their _ss..

Roughly 60 percent of people I see are texting while driving including doing 75 in the left lane of a major 5 lane highway. They are also getting sneakier about it by holding the phone down below most peoples view like they are looking at the center console of the car.
"Some people see things that are and ask, Why? Some people dream of things that never were and ask, Why not? Some people have to go to work and don't have time for all that."

The Detroit lean and big sunglasses making them look less obvious around here. Helen Keller can spot someone texting and driving.

The whole f'n culture just winks about it.  Look at all the distracting electronics they BUILD IN to the consoles of cars now.  How is that not the same thing?  How about cops with their laptops typing in your license plate while they are driving?  No wonder the damn teens think they can get away with it.
