Just curious if anyone has done any creative designs on their side covers.
Right now mine are all red, but considering running a thick black line down the middle
Love to see any pics of what you've done to your covers

A few of us have stuck auto parts chrome (plastic, probably Chinese) dragons on the side covers. (small ones)

The only painting I ever did was with four inch brushes or stick rollers in steel mills.  It wasn't artistic.  The color was called eye rest green (or red lead).  We had to Vaseline our faces before work each day, otherwise you had to use toxic thinners or wire brushes to get it off.

I personally think (skilled) minimalist pin striping here and there looks better than big bold colors and wild pin striping (but to each his own).

Yea, I was thinking a black line  with pinstriping to match the red and black on the rest of the bike, but that dragon would look cool. Or something that said 1500

Those vinyl stickers, you know like "Calvin peeing on Ford" but not that one  Wink , work
real well. Frank Smoak put the Palmetto tree and crescent from the South Carolina
flag on his side cover, and after I saw it I did too...  it has been there about 10
years now, still looks great. There's a lot of vinyl stickers out there, and places
will make custom ones...

This site is called Purple Harley, but it's not all Harley (and scull) stuff.  Many are not so good, but some are interesting.  Some are actually raised bas relief.  And some are reflective, which is never a bad idea for the side of any motorcycle (at night).

I like my Punisher graphics on Deerslayer - tribute to Chris Kyle.

I am trying to find a picture of the Flask Interstate but not having luck. His blue silver IS had side covers the were split silver blue if I remember right.  Anyway I used 2014 Valkyrie emblems on my black 98
