They are bad ass but they just don’t look right to me somehow. The proportions just don’t suit me.

I agreed until I found some with saddle bags. That little change balances it for me.

1300 pounds (502). I sat on one in a gravel lot, and stood it up. Well, not right away. Sort of a clean and jerk off the kickstand maneuver. Two speed trans. One to get it rolling good, and the other to get it flying. I was siting in a dealer and two of them took off out front and nailed it. Rubber was burned for a long way and it was impressive. They make a lot of noise too. Those long burnouts are like riding a surfboard. It's not something I would want to power through the mountains; though a bunch of Beemer guys said the same thing about my Valk. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUER2ukpMso

It's the rad fan that really looks awful...looks like my shop fan just plunked on there. The front-end also looks out of place to me....a little too small...perhaps it's those huge side covers. The engine however looks awesome in there. There's a group around here that has a couple Hoss's ....they look cool on the road from a couple angles , but then other angles not so much. Sure sound cool though.

I like the idea of Boss Hoss, not necessarily for one's only ride. The concept of a V8 on a motorcycle is impressive, but 502? It seems there is a point at which more displacement on two wheels gains you absolutely nothing but more fuel consumption. Even the smallest Boss will spin the rear wheel until you cut back on the throttle.

Looks like a aluminum v6 of about 3.5 to 4 liters with a real transmission would be a better all around bike. Weight, size and power would be better balanced. Use either and auto(v6) or plane(flat 6) engine.

Hey if you are going V8 it's already rediculous so why not go big block. Only 50 lbs more than the 350. They also have put a 702 in a two wheeler. Now that's over the top lmao. 502 is plenty.

That's like saying all you need is a 44 magnum when clearly the .500 magnum is way more fun

I met 2 Boss Hoss riders when i went to Sturgis.
One from FL.
One from - crap - I can't remember.
Both rode there.
No trailers.
I test rode a trike.
If I had the $$$$$ I would have one.

Why?
So you can say you have the biggest, baddest cycle in the state?
Wanna bet it does not handle like it though...

Rode one for 6 years, it was a small block ZZ4 motor.
Almost upgraded to a 502 years ago, couldn't agree to terms however.
I like the newer ls3 powered ones, a lot cooler (temperature) to ride and packs about 450 HP.
I loved the uniqueness of owning one, was a great highway cruiser. Hated the unreliability of mine, mostly all electrical issues! Loving the Valkyrie knowing it's not going to leave me broke down on the side of the road!

If. I had 30k to spend in it And if I found one that seemed worth it And if I actually had it I would keep the Valkyries. And yes one small aspect of the reason for owning the biggest would be to own the biggest. I don't have the money to spend. But I can still drool.

If I had the $$$ and the room to keep a trike there would be a trike with my name on it. Neither of those conditions will be true unless that lottery ticket comes in or Willow decides to adopt me. Rams

I met a gentleman and his wife at a ice cream joint in NH one day. They both had Boss Hoss's. She had a trike and his was nitrous powered. I don't remember any of the bikes details except Jerry's (I think that was his name) bike had hundreds of skulls on it. Every nut and bolt was a skull and it had individual skulls all over it. I asked him how many he had and he said he lost count. He told me he had to add a backrest because when he hit the nitrous, he would get moved to the back and he was no small dude, had to tip well over 300lbs. This was back when the V-rod had just come out and he said he bought one to ride around in his house. ??? Very colorful character and he loved his Boss Hoss. When I asked what he did for a living, he stated he ran a cleaning crew for the government. I didn't ask for details.

I ran into a group of five or six Boss Hoss riders several years ago, maybe 2009 or '10. I believe it was in Keystone SD, during Bike Week. I struck up a conversation, learned they had trailered them from Minneapolis, 600+ miles, a little shorter than I had ridden out there. They indicated that the bikes were not reliable enough to be ridden cross country. The weakness was in the two speed transmission. Perhaps things have improved, but I had to put it out there.
If you have gobs of $$$ to spend on rear tires, this is your ticket...

I've had friends that had both the 350 and the 502 and they used to tell me that more times than not, the 350 would take the 502. They said in that power class, its more about traction than power and usually the 350 will hook up quicker.
Several years ago I went to the Boss Hoss rally in Seven Springs PA and was waiting for a chance to ride one. One of the dealers asked me if I knew were any local gas stations were and I said sure, there's one about 15 miles away. He handed me some cash, pointed to a bike (a 350) and said go fill it up. I said anything I need to know. He said just don't forget to shift to second around 50. So off I go. Once I got away from the festivities, I found myself on a long straight away with nothing in front of me and nothing behind, and from loafing along at 35, I nailed it. By the time I realized what was going on, I was doing 90. Forgot to shift.
It was a fun ride, but I remember it being a lot hotter than my Valk and not a lot of ground clearance, I was scraping pegs even on mild turns. Biggest thing though, I never really got comfortable with my nuts being a few inches away from the distributor.

Had a RTE breakfast with Jeff Sat. morning and he was "drooling" over this bike and it wasn't the breakfast either. Now I see why. He had me believing he would get one too.

Years ago at Americade they used to let you take a test ride on them. Only after you sign paperwork agreeing to purchase it if you damage it. One gentleman apon leaving the parking lot hit the throttle before he got it straightened out and it went down the road without him. He was the new proud owner of a $76,000. Dollar bike that needed $20 plus thousand dollars in repair. Almost felt bad for him.
