I've ridden over there on a Valkyrie. No way near as much snow as that.

I've ridden over there on a Valkyrie. No way near as much snow as that.
Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain National Park has also been opened for the summer.

Snowpack is disappearing quickly up high.
It was a "light" winter and Colorado is in a major drought condition for this summer.                                                                         
Fire danger will become extreme as the heat dries out the forest fuels.

Traveled Independence Pass back in 2001 and was hung up for hours because a driver took a tractor trailer there and could not make a turn where the rock walls are. He was backing out a long ways. That day he learned to back up.
