That engine could be a wild 347 stroker...but not with that stock intake...that is someone who just took the motor out of a Fox body and change the valve cover and paint the stock upper intake and slapped on a cobra plate

If they want to sell it to that car's target market they need to have much more detail on the build.  "V8"?  No kidding.  What V8?  Induction system, compression, displacement, tested power, suspension, brakes.  Must not be much if they don't detail it.

I'm sure to win races you'd be correct.  I have seen Cobra kits selling for 90K. Maybe those have  what you are talking about.

IF I ever own one of these I would just drove it as a normal car. I m sure a 5.0 in that small car would be plenty for me

I tend to agree.  Engines today are more efficient (and I'm not quite as speed crazed as I used to be) and lighter.    All depends on what one intends to do with it.

In that it still has a distributor, I wonder exactly what it is.

It says it’s a 5.0. Same engine as in my pickup. Mine is stock and 365hp.

Missed that bit of information, that may explain the reduced price.    There are more efficient and lighter power plants to put under that hood.  In that it's a replica, it really doesn't matter in my mind.   It'll still rock most folk's world!  cooldude

Ya, and remember he said he'd sell it for 30K if he were to sell which he weren't. Lol

My truck is a 2011. It also holds 8 qts of oil. Not sure if that means anything different.

One of the picture choices is a video with audio. Even if it's a 302, the cam is very hot. I'd guess it's not anywhere near stock.

Valker, you have the "new" 5.0 modular motor. The one in this kit car is a pushrod motor and you have the same motor as the 2011 Mustang

I'll have to check that car out, I live out side of Manitowoc I knew he sold old cars but have never stopped in.
I would be happy with a 302 motor in a Cobra

Well, the thing is...drooling over the boss hoss was just drooling. Just too much machine.  But the Cobra is something that can replace the motorcycles if that's what's in our cards for the future.  It sucks thinking that a stinking platelet can change your whole life.

This whole mess has just got me thinking that's all.

Once a VRCC'r, always a VRCC'r no matter what you ride/drive... If I had to give up riding a 2 wheeler, I would look hard at a trike but not a Can-am or a Slingshot...I would daily a 347 Cobra...bullet-proof 450hp or so...

Sweet car.  cooldude It would be fun to motor around in.
The only gripe or thing I could see that I would change is the location of the emergency brake cable as it rides on the frame cross member.
I know, that's getting picky.

Funny, I saw one yesterday that looked just like that broke down on the side of road.

Well, two of the original Shelby-built AC-based Cobras were done with the 289 & 427, so there's a long history for a 5.0 in them. Even the 427 at the time was just a little over 400HP if memory serves, and that's hardly the record for a modern 5 liter modern engine. Nice looking replica car.

.  I understand and wanting another toy if so is the correct deal and a Cobra would fit nice in the center of the yard here at the cottage during a pizza party.  cooldude
