Was waiting on The Hillbilly Highway Ride to be over before posting. I know several folks from out of state plan on coming to The Great State Of Tennessee to ride with us to InZane . Below is motel information for both Friday June 8 in Clinton , Tennessee and Saturday June 9 in Sparta , North Carolina. Meeting Saturday morning June 9 at Hardees . This is located next door to the Red Roof Inn @ exit 122 of I-75.... 8:30 if you want breakfast we go kick stand up at 9:00 ( est ) .

Just talked with the motel and got us a discount. The folks I know that had a room you are in on the discount. When making the reservation say you are with " The Valkyrie Riders Group " to save some $$ .

A small warning for ya. Road work in multiple spots along I 81 south of Roanoke. Had lots of vehicles backed up for miles. Stay safe.

Reservations made at both places. Speedo and Rainmaker rolling in from Dallas. Have to superslab to Clinton for 2 days to be there Friday night. So it goes.
And yes, I have a spare alternator in the bag.

joe, have you ever put a fuel filter on a Valkyrie?i had a Goldwing put on by a mechanic and it intermittently appears to run out of fuel as it will shut down but the start up if gas cap is opened and allowed to sit a few minutes. I suspect the looping of hose is the problem and want to find a fuel filter that is short enough if possible to allow fuel to flow by gravity but not sure if anyone has done this before.i had sediment in the carbs which was an expensive problem to clean and wanted to avoid it happening again.thanks,rm in christiana,tn

Kinda' jumping in here, but I have put on a quick disconnect that had a loop in it and yeah, it messes up the fuel flow. I cut back the line so that the filter did not add to the length of the fuel line itself and it stayed on the same plane, with no loops. There are probably more answers to this in the 1500 Tech Tips area. |

The Hardees we are meeting at is NOT the Hardees we usually meet at. Clinton has two Hardees the one we'll meet for this ride is beside I-75 at exit 122. I-75 @ Hwy 61.
