To pack. Tuesday was a day off for me. I got a new driveshaft oil seal on, changed the oil, washed the bike, bought a new camel back. Today is my last day off before I head out 5am next Thursday. I'm getting the itch.  Smiley

Whatever it is, it's better in the wind.

Grin my wife is flying out. If history is any judge, she will pack 45 minutes before her flight. Forget her medicine, phone charger, keys. I guess as long as she gets there in one piece we can visit Walmart .  Smiley

And with everything going on here, I haven't even begun thinking about route planning, bike maintenance, where I'm gonna find the $$$ to finance this trip, etc. etc. etc. yet... Guess I should start thinking about scheduling a time for the planning committee to have a pre-meeting to discuss scheduling forming an action team to start forming a plan to start planning to prepare...

Yeah... I need this trip... Badly....

Test load. Head out tomorrow morning eastbound. Will be back early July.

Looking forward to the trip, my last Inzane was Eureka Springs.

Got a text update from my buddy in western OK (first overnight stay) "temp tomorrow 105". That gets especially ripe coming across the TX Panhandle during the heat of the day and then remains burnt in the nasal passages lonnnng after.

Nah.  Go ahead and pack.  I still have to finish putting on the new horn and the other pre-ride maintenance.  Then I'll pack.

Woo-hoo!!!! Next Thursday, heading out!!!!

Rob,

I reckon it's jis 'cordin'... I left my 'home' April 17th on my way to Roanoke... Naturally my legendary 'navigational skills' forced me to allow time for corrections, back-tracking, U-turns, missed turns, and wrong turns... At the moment I'm in-route from Pikeville, KY to Roanoke, VA... and I'm spending tonight in Onawa, IA. Good thing I wasn't with Christopher Columbus, huh... he wouldn't have discovered America for another decade or so!

I leave Sunday for CO and the IS has the bags loaded. The day bag is the only thing to add and that will get thrown in the trunk with the half hat Sunday morning. Working on the play list for the trip now. I admit the IS is pretty much set up for cross country all the time but this trip the spouse will be joining me in CO so there must be room for her stuff. Oh well, fewer tools and sundry to make room for female necessities.

Well, that's true. But, he probably would have got the sought after route to China.  cooldude
