UPDATED May 31st at 2:06 p.m. PT: State Farm has suspended its sponsorship of “Full Front with Samantha Bee.”

Autotrader and State Farm have decided to suspend their sponsorship of “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” after the host called Ivanka Trump a “feckless c—” on the show Wednesday night.

“Thank you to those who reached out regarding our sponsorship of ‘Full Frontal,'” Autotrader said via their official Twitter account Thursday. “The comments expressed by Samantha Bee were offensive and unacceptable and do not reflect the views of our company. As a result, we have suspended our sponsorship of ‘Full Frontal with Samantha Bee.'”

State Farm also pulled out, saying in a statement to TheWrap Thursday, “We have asked TBS to suspend our advertising in the program and are reviewing any future placements. We constantly review programs to ensure alignment to our programming guidelines and brand values.”

But not every advertiser on Bee’s show decided to leave.

“As a national brand, our ads run on national broadcast, cable, digital, social, outdoor media, and just about everywhere in-between,” Discover said in a statement on Twitter Thursday. “Our media buys consistently change and reflect the diverse content and audiences we serve. Editorial direction and content are created by the individual program.”

Bee made her divisive remarks about Ivanka Trump during her opening monologue Wednesday, as part of her criticism of the first daughter for not doing more about the president’s immigration policies. “Let me just say, one mother to another, do something about your dad’s immigration practices you feckless c—t!” Bee said.

“He listens to you. Put on something tight and low cut and tell your father to f-king stop it. Tell him it was an Obama thing and see how it goes,” she continued.

The comedian faced backlash for the comment, and White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the statement was “vile and vicious.”
“The collective silence by the left and its media allies is appalling,” Sanders told TheWrap on Thursday. “Her disgusting comments and show are not fit for broadcast, and executives at Time Warner and TBS must demonstrate that such explicit profanity about female members of this administration will not be condoned on its network.”

Bee later apologized on Thursday, saying that using the c-word was “inappropriate and inexcusable.”

“I would like to sincerely apologize to Ivanka Trump and to my viewers for using an expletive on my show to describe her last night,” she said in a statement. “It was inappropriate and inexcusable. I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it.”

Television Academy Blocks Media From Tonight’s Honors Ceremony Featuring Samantha Bee

In the wake of the Samantha Bee controversy whereby she called Ivanka Trump a “feckless c**t”, the Television Academy has put the kibosh on any press attending tonight’s 11th annual Television Academy Honors ceremony, which is lauding herTBS series Full Frontal.

Bee is among a number of honorees whose shows were recognized for their “Programming that Advanced Social Change.” Other shows being honored alongside Full Frontal with Samantha Bee include Andi Mack, Daughters of Destiny, Forbidden: Undocumented & Queer in Rural America, LA 92, One Day at a Time and 13 Reasons Why.

While members of the press is permitted to cover the red carpet, they will not have access to the actual cocktail reception/ceremony, which is taking place at the NeueHouse Hollywood. As far as Deadline has been informed at this very minute, Bee is still attending to pick up her honor tonight. TBD on whether she skips the red carpet.

The media was informed by the Television Academy’s PR firm late this afternoon that, due to a substantial increase in attending press, they had to limit access to tonight’s activities, specifically the reception itself. This isn’t uncommon at previous Television Academy functions, depending on press size, where the media can be limited at certain ceremonies.

Bee and TBS apologized for the host’s remarks shortly after White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders slammed the show, saying: “The language used by Samantha Bee last night is vile and vicious. The collective silence by the left and its media allies is appalling.” Today two advertisers, Autotrader and State Farm Insurance announced that they are pulling ads from Full Frontal.

Great response and I agree with most of it, Baldo is one of the smartest and most understanding of how things are that I know. Although he gets jabs in and you have no doubt about his position his one liners are actually better than Willows in some cases. Meat well just seems to be an agitator on every issue.

I made the comment that if someone thought conservatives didn't say stupid stuff along with liberals they were mistaken. And from this you come up with your analysis ? Just because somebody disagrees with the position of our president doesn't mean they hate them. Do I think he's wrong in most of his positions ? Yes. Do I think he is morally deficient ? You bet. It’s amazing to me that your reply is so defensive. I wasn’t being derogatory about you or baldo. I was trying to remind my fellow conservatives that we should understand your positions since the tables were turned not so long ago. You took the haters comment too literally, but generally it’s what has been happening in our society for some time now. I never specifically called any one a hater in a personal manner. I can guarantee I was in the “hater camp” while Obama was in office but I didn’t specifically hate the person, it was the direction and the means he employed. yes u are! if u vote for people and believe in policies that ARE AGAINST the Declaration, US Constitution (which u took an oath to uphold), Bill Of Rights, Federalist papers, then u are an Anti-american and are supporting the destruction of this great country u claim to love. your actions speak louder than your words. maybe u should go read those documents in full, and see how u are actually against this country and really don't know it as many Americans don't know it.
