Thanks, Randy   I was pretty down in the dumps a few hours ago. Brenda is flying there tomorrow morning. The thought of her unescorted amongst all these badass Valkyrie dudes had me a little concerned.

My elation is slipping into nervousness that I'm going to have a meltdown in the parking lot. I've done it now 5 or 6 times. One was a breeze, the rest not so much.

I can't say enough about the boys at B&W . New rotor, new bearings, new brushes. $201. I had been contemplating $900 uhaul to Roanoke and then fixing it.

I have a question about the filter that's on the I/S ? One of the wires broke or I broke it in the dark last night. I'm not going to do anything wrong if it's not hooked up ?

Yeah I think it is. I'm not going to worry about it. Got her in. Just got to button everything up, shower, and pack. I can't thank everybody enough for the support, it meant a lot. Nothing ever goes without a hiccup though. I left the nut on the alt for the hookup. They left it off and I didn't notice. Another hike to Home Depot

Fab news! Yes, I am relieved to hear things have turned around for you. I also know of the elation you feel and the gratitude for the response you've received from our brothers/sisters here! There really is a silver lining to this set-back, and that elation/gratitude is part of it.

It's one thing to give assistance or advice or sympathy, but it's quite another to find yourself in need and on the receiving end of that phenomena. Indescribable, but profound... and so humbling! Congrats on having moved to a new level of 'participation' in the VRCC... Feels mighty good, doesn't it...?

P.S. Nice move by you to find an alternator repair shop and engage them for repairs... You probably saved yourself a day or more by doing so rather than waiting on a new unit to be shipped to you. As for Brenda, she can handle herself well, and besides, she'll be surrounded by some of the finest folks I've ever known!!!
