For years I never knew he was in a wheelchair. A very accomplished man. Knowing the approximate time of your coming death has to unnerving but it does give him time to say goodbye.

I read about this earlier.  Sad.

He is one of the very few journalists (left) who I would trust and believe about anything he said. 

Soft spoken and intelligent and articulate, yet never vitriolic.

Yep, always enjoyed listening to him. Heck of a smart man that has overcome a lot only to now end up like this. Too bad.

Just to be opinionated at his level took guts. He had the background and knowledge to back his opinions. A truly great and smart man has passed and left a good footprint while here.
