All the custom Valkyries and their riders? “Back in the day” there was a growing sector of Valkyries that were way beyond stock bikes with extra chrome. I’m talking about bikes like Mark T’s last addition. I know custom wheels are mostly out of the question anymore but it seems Valkyrie owners, me included, are just not as inclined to really shake things up as much as we once were.

Most new valk riders "I think" are buying the old valks for their different old school look, and enduring dependability. Also their cheap price. Doubt many will want to invest thousands into a bike they payed under 5k for. There will be some, just not many.

I think that is what puzzles me most about our segment of the bike world. If one wants to have a custom bike and is drawn to the Valkyrie, why would a low entry price not be a plus when the foundation of the bike is so bulletproof so to speak? I guess I have to realize that many of the earlier bikes I speak of are now owned by people who have no interest in an internet site about Valkyries or they sit in the back to garages, forgotten and gathering dust due to the rider moving on to the latest and greatest. I hope there will be some great “barn finds” in the years to come for someone to bring back to life.

I look at Jade as being like a blank canvas.  Inexpensive to buy, but great potential to make it your own! I have Jade pretty much exactly where I want her.  Lotsa mods for convenience, comfort, and safety. Not as many for looks.  This one is more comfy for me than the Gold Wing is.

I've bought several Custom Valkyrie's and love to ride them.  It has become Very expensive to build one and you will not get the money back.  If someone wants a Custom Valkyrie its easier to be patient and wait for one to come on the market and be willing to travel.  I live in Eastern VA and have bought Valkyries in Florida, Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, as well as Virginia. Most through eBay or Craigslist.  I've always bought a custom bike as close to done for me as possible.  Cost a little more but much cheaper in the long run.

A lot of custom bikes are treated as works of art and are kept tucked up in bed..... I saw this valk for sale in a google search a while back
