Glad it was not as serious as it could have been.

Happy for the positive outcome! A broken hip took my grandmother, she never came out of the anesthesia. We don’t know if she fell and broke her hip or her hip gave way and she fell. Grandma made it to 99 years old though.

80 years old and at a water park?  cooldude that woman seems to be a grandma anyone would be proud to have. I remember when my great grandma was 82 and we were at Disney.  Went on a ride called rockin roller coaster. My aunt asked if it was a ride my great grandma could ride and the people shuffling people on and off said sure, she will love it. 0-60 in 2 seconds and several flips and corkscrews. She got off and said she was doing that again. She lived to be 98. Sorry to hear about your wife rocketray. Hope she heals fast.

For the elderly, if they break a hip that is the start of the end in a very high percentage. Happened to my Mother who survived cancer, however 7 months after breaking a hip we said our goodbyes.

I trip over our 2 laundry baskets every single week in our bedroom which is already crowded.  Have not fallen yet but surely pisses me off every single time I do it.

I might say something at work tomorrow for not having 2 people in the warehouse receiving product in is getting to the point now that near daily I am triping over plastic pallets in our buried 100+ boxes laying all over the way too small dock.

I think since they have said they are looking to hire now 3 more for the past 5 months and NOTHING done yet that HR and the safety person might be good to talk to as well saying one of these days I am going to stumble and trip and land flat on my face since need MORE employees.

Rock:  Hope your wife gets better and no long lasting effects from the fall

My Mom fell on the side walk when she was 92 and broke both elbows, the round knob part.  They penned the joints back together in a long operation.  Doc told me he wasn't sure the pens would hold in her old bones.   She went thru 4 month so rehab.  I told her she could leave till she could take care of herself.  She lived with us for another two months showing she could live by herself.  She then got to back to her home, some 80 miles from where we live.  She just turned 100 in December, still living on her own.   She likes working in her yard (I mow for her) pulling weeds, tending flowers, and pruning roses.  once a week she goes to a food pantry to held give out food.  I was able to convince her when she went home, that she shouldn't drive anymore.  She may live for another 10 years or so.
