I frequently wear this shirt, and think we should post it as a sign at all entrances to The Republic of Texas:

Sadly, it's not helping, the Californicators are still coming in in droves and bringing all the crap that destroyed their once thriving state with them. Sad

They have a pretty good foothold here in Colorado, too.  You'd think people who leave a place to escape failed policies wouldn't try to replicate those policies elsewhere.

Serk-i was living rather nicely in Colorado when "they" started showin up wantin to change the status quo from da git go. And as has been reported by those still in Colorado-"they"-are indeed making their presence known!  Lips Sealed Just pondering bout had I stayed in ca after the Military. Had a number of prospects to work and live there. 20/20 hindsight cursed happy-now-that I went back to Il in 1968. Course Il on a down hill now too. RIDE SAFE.

That's the problem. They ruin their state with their liberal policies and then flee to a conservative state because they can't live there anymore. Then they try to enact the same failed policies in that state and thus destroying that state as well.

I think the sign is hilarious but it will piss off the liberals....

Mostly Liberals, but pertains at least in my case to anyone not from "here" who tell us how to run it the way they just abandoned. Abandoned because of systemic liberal policies that drove them out in the first place. And what do most do? They try and install the very policies and taxes to pay for them that brought them "here". Where living is cheaper. Why cheaper? Because some very astute politicians thought it was the right way to go to give the people what they wanted. And obviously they were right.

In general, as you learned, Texans are extremely friendly, welcoming folks...

We just ask that those fleeing from failed states recognize why those states are or have failed, and leave the thinking behind when they come here.

Unfortunately most of them don't learn and repeat the same mistakes they made where they came from.

I suspect the people who put up the billboard have stronger feelings than that. But, I’m not going to let a few haters alter my view. If they truly want me to ride on without stopping, they have failed.

It is, or soon to be was, visible to EAST bound travelers...

But sadly, enough melting snowflakes cried about it, and it's being or been taken down now...  :'(

I looked back at all of them on the east side. I never saw it. I really wanted a pic with the bike. It’s possible I just missed it. But I think I looked at all the billboards for a good 30 miles.

Another conservative bowing down to make liberals happy. So if there were a sign in NY state telling conservatives to keep driving would there be outrage? Governor Chomo once said that conservatives were not welcome in his state. Can you imagine if TX governor Abbott said that about liberals. They would be calling for his removal. But when a dem says it its ok.

My take on it is pretty simple question.

If it was so bad you left, why are you trying to turn this place into that place?
Here in Florida you used to hear a northern transplant say something to the effect of "that's not how we did it in _____(fill in the northern state)."  I always suggested they return. As with most states in the union, the Fla. Dept. of Revenue where I worked had out-of-state offices which were used to audit the home office of large companies that did business in Florida. We had one such office in the Chicago area for many years and during a time when I was an audit supervisor, I had a young woman transfer to the Orlando area where I worked and was assigned to my group. From the start, she caused friction within our well organized group and became a real PITA. One day after I had reviewed her most recent audit findings and found numerous errors, both in the presentation and the use of applicable law, I called her in to go over some of the issues. She took one look at my write-up and exploded by saying "that's not how it's done in the Chicago office."  Having had enough of her by this time, I stepped over to my 15' wide window and asked her to join me, assuring her I wasn't going to push her from that 5th story elevation.  When she came to the window, I asked her to look around real hard and see if she could spot the Sears Tower anywhere on the horizon. When she told me "obviously not, this isn't Chicago"....I replied "my point exactly" and handed her back the file to be corrected. She apparently got the message because I never had another moment of trouble with her from that day forward.  Wink
