I'd always heard the horror stories of how crowded Tail of the Dragon is (AKA US129).

Quite a few years ago my best bud James and I rode it...and never saw another bike or vehicle.

Of course, that was during one of those east coast hurricanes and it was raining 4" per hour the entire day....

We rode it again on the way back from Inzane...Friday afternoon. Still wasn't crowded Smiley

Got a picture this time.

This photo must be faked.  You can't ride the Dragon on a car tire.  You'll go down in flames!

Glad you had a good run! With all the horror stories of crowds and too many revenue collection officers, I opted for the southern end of the BRP this trip in lieu of US129.... But I'll get back there (There being all the wonderful roads in that part of the nation!) eventually...

Doing the BRP end to end has now been added to my bucket list...

Great pic Daniel, and you did a great job at tech sessions. I learned a lot. Need to get me a spare alternator.

The bike appears to have been washed. So, there's some doubt about it being yours Cheesy

The Sheraton probably wanted a clean bike before they let him ride it through the hotel...

They DO have an image to maintain, after all!

Nope and nope. It was washed in that it rained on us several times on the way to Roanoke. Smiley

...glad you had a good run, sometimes it's like being in a high speed parade with a bunch of idiots. Had a muscle car pass a friend of mine once. It was in one of the curves where they were taking pictures and it was all captured... nearly ran him off the road.

Thanks for the tech sessions... the LED upgrade is now next on my list.

I believe my tag photo was taken at that same corner in 2012.  I was there the week after my first Inzane in Eurka Springs AK...

Last time I went through there, there were several photographers. I think they've staked out their claim on different corners.
