We continue to keep you and Judy in our prayers

It was really great to spend some time with you again.  We got a good pic of you and Bonnie out front that I will send you

Hopefully next time Judy can join you.

Riding our motorcycles is a really good stress relief for most of us.  Might even be more for you.  Great news and hope you two can get a lot of riding in this summer.

Thanks everyone. Tomorrow 0800 I start the fourth round of chemo. Numbers should go down a little before taking another rise. Let’s see how high we can get them platelets.

Glad to hear that the numbers are getting better. For years, I've called it "Throttle therapy", but had no idea it was to be medically proven. Thank you sir. I'm seeing my doctor Tuesday, so I'll tell her to update her prescription book for me.

Throttle therapy.  I like it. I bet I’ll be the only chemo patent showing up on a motorcycle tomorrow.  cooldude

I'd be interested in knowing any effects from the chemo you have. Compare notes, so to speak. You can PM me.

ChrisJ,
Keep up the good attitude and go for the “throttle therapy” every chance you get.

I missed seeing you at Inzane.  Maybe next year.

After the first round I had two days of extreme fatigue. That was due to the death of 400,000 CLL white cells. After that, the next two rounds of chemo I felt nothing. Absolutely no side effects. That’s one reason my dr says I’m not normal. Lol

Praying for good results for you too!

Thanks. I've been cancer for the past 1.5 yrs now and its not expected to come back. I'll not go thru treatments again if it does return.  One 83 pound loss is enough. Thats why I gave away the Valk. [ had to make this Valk related in some manner]

As far as the chemo. There must be some 'good' stuff in that because I didn't have a single ache or pain or tiredness for a couple days, then the let down on the third day.

But the side effects are/were loss of taste and chemo brain. Chemo brain is for real. [ I hope you don't get it].  I've been told no more sun or beer and thats a deal breaker for me. I will wear a hat but will not cover up more than that or use much sun screen[ if at all].  Water now tastes horrible so I tend to make up for it in beer. I am saving a lot of money though because I can get away with the cheap stuff as it all tastes the same.  Grin

I guess because there are some many different recipes for the chemo, each has its own characteristics. And I think its hard to determine which effects come from the radiation or the chemo. The radiation destroyed the ability to taste or produce saliva. It also destroyed the lower jaw bone causing occasional tooth loss [ 5 so far and those critters are expensive to replace $1500-2500 each]

Anyway, I get carried away.  Good luck to you.

Congrats on cancer free!!  Sorry about the high price you paid.

So far none of that. My dr says beer is ok. Frankly it’s been a great medicine. I have to drink gallons of water because the chemo is processed through the kidneys. So a cold beer in the evening is my reward lol.

I’ll never be cancer free, the goal is long term remission
