for me anyway. I installed hundreds of faucets over the years but the last one had a simple but useful improvement. The drain is a pop up that you often see in tubs. Push down to click in place and fill the bowl, push down again to empty. What this eliminates is the mechanical linkage from the drain to the rod normally found behind the faucet. The drain itself was an improvement over any I have used in the past, with a thin rudder gasket on the top side of the bowl and a tapered thicker rubber gasket to seal the bottom. Made installation a breeze with no need for plumbers putty and no leaks! This particular faucet is a Kohler but I know Moen is using them too.

Don’t know why any of you would care but I found it interesting and hey, it’s not political.

I had fitted VIGO waterfall faucets and pop up stoppers to all the glass, vessel sinks in the house I just sold. Not the kitchen sink.

Unscrew the stopper if it gets plugged up, easy to clean any blockage.

I got my stuff from the big box store about 18 years ago... plumbers putty was needed
on everything. A few years ago I replace the bathroom faucet and it had the gasket,
no plumbers putty needed. Installation was a breeze. Lots of new plumbing stuff is really
"homeowner installation friendly"...
