My family appears to be having a problem over something that happened over 10 years ago at a Covered Bridge Ride.  I'll explain.

That year I drove my black Miata to the CBR . I brought along a lady friend. She was reluctant to come, hearing stories about riders and drinking. I had told her that the socializing didn't start until the bikes were parked for the day.

We had separate rooms at the motel (for youse with dirty minds, LOL). Anyway, as I recall, we were sitting outside about 4pm and watching the usual tire kicking ceremonies after the rides of the day. In front of us there were a number of riders on Valkyries. One of them had just pulled up and both the rider and his lady friend were drinking beer.  Earlier, from what I heard,  Doc Morse (the CBR rider in charge), and a few other riders had told this rider he could not ride with them because of the drinking. I believe this was in the group riding to see the covered bridges. I was not with them as Millie and I did our own drive in the Miata.

I was somewhat po'd as I had told Millie there was no drinking and riding.  That made me a liar in her view.

As near as I can tell, this rider seems to have it in for me and Mark because we were supposed to have passed the word that this rider was falling down drunk. He was not.   He showed no signs of that.  He wasn't having any problem holding up his Valk, and we most certainly did not say that he was that drunk.  However, he was riding while drinking. Doc Morse and others could verify that.

Now, today, twice in the last few months, this rider, who I will not name, seems to be making snide remarks.  Since he doesn't mention names either, He might not be talking about us (but I think he is)

I'm willing to forget what happened 10 years . I'm also willing to set the record straight (we did NOT call him a falling down drunk.)  I also don't like snide remarks and I most certainly don't like to be called a liar.  I just laughed at the other noun. funny. Smiley It's not the first time that I've heard the word "hayseed". The last was by a nephew lawyer, also in a big town, I unfriended him.

BTW, I don't want to start something, I want to finish it.

BTW, I neither expect or need comments on this subject. This is just a matter of clearing the air for me.
