Thanks for the text Joe.
I want to thank everyone for their support and concerns for me these last 3 years. The best thing I can say right now is the good Lord has seen it fit to keep me around a bit longer. I am currently in heart failure and kidney failure, and still making trips on a regular basis to Nashville to the doctors.I have had so much happened that it would take all day to tell the story and would seem like I would be crying out for sympathy,  and know I don't have to look far to see someone who is having it a lot tougher than me.  I am disappointed in myself though for not keeping in touch with my VRCC family like I should have. (Well for one thing most have gone to facebook and other media outlets that I don't visit.)
The last 3 years have been pretty rough on me as far as health goes, and I've not been around my riding buds, like I would liked to be. I am smart enough to know I shouldn't be on a bike again, because I don't want to put other people in harm's way. This was a very hard decision because I loved my time riding with everyone here. Memories have been serving me well instead. Just about everyone of them included the Wild Bunch (Smoking Joe, Lucky 13, Wimp, Big Al, and Hubcap ) they are good folks and terrific riders. I have special memories of others here that have passed away too soon. I hope to cross paths with all here I know before any more passings. Until then, remember to thank our lord and savior everyday!
Love you all

I'm sorry that you're going through this.

But it sounds like you have your priorities straight.

Do keep in mind that keeping friends informed is not asking for sympathy.

And for those of us that are believers it provides the opportunity to exercise the power of prayer on your behalf.

I'm afraid I look at it from a very personal point of view.  :-[ After reading ride reports for years about the Wild Bunch I always figured I'd get to ride with you guys some day. I'm still holding out hope that things take a turn for the better and you hop on one of Joe's bikes for our ride. Take care. (And please come around more often)  :)

T-bird, I had the great pleasure to ride with you and the wild bunch ones and met you occasionally, but you left a lasting impression - great rider, great guy !

I enjoyed trying to keep up with you and being dumb enough to pass you (bet you let me ) and popcorn in the pouring rain coming back from GOTF in 2014 before you headed out to Punisher's place.

You are one heck of a rider and I wish you a return to the best of health.

The sticker on your helmet says it all " I'm not speeding, I'm qualifying"
