Haven't been on the board much and had trouble posting pics but got it fig out.  Tongue
Heres some pix of our big summer trip last yr.

This is between Pueblo CO & Montrose.

Million dollar HWY

4 corners

Mexican Hat Utah

Goosenecks State Park Mexican Hat UT

Valley of the Gods in MH UT. Don't go by mc. Barley made it out of a dry creek bed. She had to get off so I can make it out.  Grin

Forest Gump Hill

Grand Canyon - 3 nights on the South Rim. Closed the bar each night. I even pee'd off the rim. Not many can say that!  2funny

Helicopter ride over the canyon. Awesome!

Winslow AZ

Roswell NM

Amarillo TX

Tulsa OK - Hard Rock Casino was great. We stayed at this side by side machine for 3-4 hrs and drank well over $100 worth. Hated the next morning!

Blue Whale outside of Tulsa on Rt 66

It was a great trip and this one is to be better in 30 more days.

Very nice ! Where you going this time ?
Mostly Utah but by way of Rocky Mnt NP in Estes Park CO, 4x4'ing in Moab UT for 2 days, all the NP in southern UT, hit the North Rim of the canyon for a couple nights, NM for a few and then Dodge City KS before hauling butt back to Ind.

Be our 2nd yr in a row of not going to Sturgis. I really miss it and my friends so Im planning on 2019. At least so far...

Good report and pics.   cooldude

Familiar territory!  That first pic is at the Dillon Pinnacles on the Blue Mesa Reservoir near my hometown.  I must be part lizard, I love the desert southwest but not so much in the dog days.  I usually skirt 4 Corners anymore since the navigation is "off" (GPS data confirm that it's not really the intersection of four state borders), and it's pretty touristy unless you're wanting to bargain with the local natives for some silver and turquoise booty.  I try to look for places that aren't overly touristy.  I just don't like the rat race of the touristy places much anymore, and money disappears faster when you're one of the cattle (like $8 hot dogs and $10 beers).  Mexican Hat is a good example of a relaxing, off the beaten path stop.
