when typing a reply in an airgun thread I tried to put in that a certain airgun only took one pull to "c o c k " and when I posted....that word became "pencil"
Tried it a couple different ways and it happened each time. I got a laugh out of it but didn't realize we were getting that bad as to have words eliminated from our vocabulary in here.

It seems the staff did some small updates to the forum software (Notice the new  emoticon too), which might have borked the custom word censoring... Hmm. I'm not having any trouble with the censor. eg. I found my Pingel petcοck has at least 11 miles of reserve on my current road trip after my belly tank pump failed. Must be the censor respects my clean pure heart; would never use "cοck" in a vulgar way...

Therer are actually only a few words on the exclusion list. I do realize that almost every work in the English language has multiple meanings. It's almost impossible to exclude words that are used as we don't want to see them without blocking someone who uses it in a completely acceptable manner.
The list will probably stay the way it is.

I'll take the hit for this one. We have been getting some complaints about the language here. I added a couple of words to the censor list. I forgot that word was removed from the censor list for a reason. I believe it is corrected, as you can see by my cocktail, not my penciltail. I also added this emoticon...  |
