The first gear ascent is steeper than my drive. A few very sharp switchbacks thrown in for fun. Not many photos of the "up" ride. A few of the "down" ride.

On the way there. Overlook on Hwy 76

The ascent is so steep that you do have to exert quite a lot of "pull" on the handlebars so as to not tip backwards.

Going down

..

Made a new friend this afternoon.

I've seen him a few times and today he was at the gate to a field on Warwoman Rd. I stopped to say hello. Then I went and bought some carrots. Gave him 2 and I think we are best of pals now.

He's a coyote donkey.

Lives in a field with a small herd of cows.

Thanks.   :cooldude:

You have to wonder.  Who loads up multiple cans of paint to go up there and paint all the rocks?  I've been at many similar overlooks with the same paint.  Do a high percentage of humans think they are Leonardo DaVinci?

Graffiti, no matter how well done, is criminal mischief, not art.

In Turkey, I rented a big motor sailor and went out in the Aegean to many little uninhabited islands.  One is inhabited by hundreds of little wild donkeys.  They like to be fed and expect it from the tourists (many big tourist boats go there, and the operators take lots of food for them).  But holy crap you better be ready because they all come running up on you like a John Ford movie western stampede. They don't bite, but they do stomp on your feet.   ;D

nice report Paul

That view from the top reminds me of Perkins on the way down from the top, but they just have turns, no switchbacks

random rocks are like guardrails right ?
