You sweat the same amount in humid heat as in dry, it just stays wet in humid conditions. Next time you are in the dry heat parts, check the salt lines on your shirts.

That's why dehydration is such a problem out here. You're sweating like crazy but don't realize it because it evaporates as soon as it hits the surface and with every breath, you're exhaling moisture and you're not getting it back. By the time you start having symptoms of dehydration its too late. We kill off a few Canadians every summer that come down and decide to go hiking and just take one water bottle thinking it'll be enough. -RP

Yes you do Make sure you check the door lock, you hear about that guy they found frozen last week? No, but that reminds me of a young man years ago. He had went in the cooler and shut the door behind him. Couldn’t figure out that you had to press hard on the knob. Ended up climbing up to the top of the door where the old hanging beef rails went thru. All you could see was his head poking out from the rubber flaps yelling help, help. He didn’t live that down for years.

It's a nice toasty 95 at RDU (local airport), but it's "only" 88.5 - 89 degrees depending on which thermometer you want to believe in the shade at my house.... God bless Mr Carrier for inventing air conditioning

That's crazy!! Only 101° here with 6% humidity.
If this keeps up. we'll have to have InZane in Arizona!

this mid 90s B.S. with high humidity sucks makes it NO fun to ride 2 wheels.
Took the scooter out today to see mom knowing it was going to be hit or miss brief downpours. GOT stuck 3 miles from home in a fricking downpour slowing down to 25 mph hiding behind the small windshield unable to see the road ahead. Got drenches and when got into town the dodge minivan ahead of me is blowing smoke all over the place unable to see him blew something serious he had to pull over thought it was going to catch on fire.
As soon as I got home those 3-4 miles the sun was out and roads almost already in 5 minutes tops cleared up completely dry. UNREAL!!!
fricking radar sucks for future forecasting.

Sedona ? IMHO its Lots of traffic no good for a week of riding and where to go unless you are doing hiking everyday which we did
Was just there, its beautiful but expensive and pretty remote.

Too funny, caught me like that in Kenosha maybe 2 hrs. ago. Was heading northwest, heading home from a friend's house maybe 15-20 miles away, nothing but sunshine, wind, heat, and humidity in front of me. Then I noticed that the sky behind me was dark. And it was overtaking me. The last 3-4 miles was 30~45 mph, with stop signs & lights, and a traffic rotary. Caught like a rat maybe 5 blocks from my house, but at 94° and 70s for dew point, damn, it felt great!!!

We rode up Friday afternoon to Roanoke, VA for the GWRRA District Rally at the same hotel as InZane this year and the temps were not too bad around 90, but much hotter this today heading home. Mid 90s when we pulled in around 3. Will be nice when this heat wave passes.

It is completely different. Probably around 100 bikes and 300-350 at the Rally. They don’t ride a lot and don’t socialize in the parking lots like at Valkyrie events. We mostly go there to see some friends. We have always liked Valkyrie events more.

It came down so hard it felt like HAIL coming down on me for about 1 mile. Probably should have pulled over and stopped for being unable to see the road (even though I knew it was straight 2 miles outside of town knowing the road). The HD rider right ahead of me on same road about 3 to 4 miles BEFORE the dark rain cloud hovering close to home pulled over and headed back to where he came from. I was hoping it was NOT to my hometown yet but I thought WRONG!!!

96° Sunny Feels Like 109°
It's a good thing I started looking outside my basement walkout before opening the door, after last year's snake incident.
There was another one out there. I think they know it's air conditioned inside, but I'm not willing to share. (good weather seal though)
Threw him over the fence. My next door neighbor is friendlier than I am.
Decided indoor work was called for today. Changed out a ceiling fan/light. I've been putting that off for 6 months, and now I'm reminded why. No smoke was let out of the wires this time.
