Oh, thanks for reminding me. I had a front bulb out at Roanoke. Glad you got some good riding in.  cooldude

Darn it all.   Well shoot, make yer way down to KY and I've got a 98 Fat Lady that we're dismantling.   I'll give you a slightly used OEM bulb.    Wink

Oss,

Yes we did....the only cool place was the elevator ride....

Some roads were in very good shape others were not so good, but your state had signs stating rough roads ahead....it was great to get out with the guys (6 Harley riders). They were busting my balls about the bulb...75k and 19 years and it is the first let down I have had with my Valk...

They all asked why we dont see many Honda dealers...I said if the bulbs last 19 years hard to turn a profit and Honda dealers are not sell tee shirts like Harley dealers!!! ha ha ha

On a positive note, I got home and checked the bulb it was loose...mus have been those rough roads....

It never ceases to amaze me how well built this bikes are.

The flat 6 used in the valkyrie is resilient and reliable. Remember it came from the Goldwing, where it is totally wrapped around tupperware.

Back in 2015, I did my 3300 miles ride through 7 States (California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada) with the radiator fan motor broken (i.e. it wouldn't engage).

The bike faced temperatures ranging from 55F to 107F, elevations from 3ft to 11000ft and *never* showed the overheat light (I tested it before leaving to know if it would let me know if the engine was overheating).

Basically, as long you are moving, the engine shouldn't overheat, unless there is something else wrong (broken water pump, clogged radiator, etc).
