To be sure, I am not a HD fan but, who of us has not done the same thing occasionally? Not as often but, I have been known to rev her up once in a while. Not sure why, I guess just letting others know we were there. Rams

All that happens is that the sewing machine sound gets a little louder...

When I motocrossed 2 stroke one lungers you best be keepin the revs up to help keep the plug clean. This were LONG before electronic ignitions on motorsickles. STILL rekemenber the big blue clouds of burnt Castrol! And when the gate dropped and you funneled into that first turn! Far as the hardlys revving it up I have NEVER gotten a Rational answer when I queried as to the WHY of revving da piss outin it. RIDE SAFE.

When I was stationed in San Diego I would ride up to Carlsbad to watch the races. Loved that smell !

In my particular case it were the 60s! My old Yamaha Y A 5 had a pressed plate frame and a rotary valve. Tuning expansion chambers and stingers wuz an ART-sadly an ART I did Not possess. RIDE SAFE.
