Canadian cold front moved in last night and broke the 6-7 day heat wave. cooldude cooldude

Went to sleep with the windows open and A/C off.

Got up to 49*F, nice.

Almost feels good to be cold.

Looks like a awesome weekend here in NE.

Oh yeah, thanks Canada, eh.

Bill,

Sounds wonderful! Down here in Heaven's waiting room, temps and humidity are nudging the top of the measuring devices, and dehydration is not a risk at all... I'm so tired of  it, too!!! Probably won't be towards New England, but ALI will be transporting me to someplace much further north and probably west of here... and soon!!! Please save some of that 'nice' for those unfortunates south of you...

I'm grateful for a little bit of relief from the excessive heat.

But 49 degrees in July would be a little more relief than I'd like.

We're looking at 60's at night and 70's during the day, that's enough relief for me.  Smiley

So far this summer the night time temps have dipped to the upper 40's, days in the mid 80's mostly.  But will get warmer next week, low mid 90's with night time lows in the 50's.   Just got to love areas without much humidity.

BUT there is a fire that started in CA and has moved over the OR boarder  that is pushing smoke our way. Fire is on the other side of the Cascades Mtn. range.   I can normally see Mtn. Shasta (about 70 air miles) from my window as I type.  Its gone this morning.  Just smoke.

Send some of that stuff this way, will'ya?  We have nine major wildfires burning across Colorado at this time and could use cooler weather with a touch of humidity thrown in to help out couple thousand firefighters on the lines and in the air.  All the beetle killed timber that has been drying for the past 15 years is just tinder and ready to blow up with any spark.
Our temperatures out on the western slope won't dip below 95* for the next ten days and are at 100* for a trifecta.

Glad for you folks back east though as my siblings are in New England. Smiley

sure felt good today,  even a tad bit chilly,  with no coat on low 70s this morning going for a ride, but not complaining that mid to high 90s and HUMID surely ZAPS me OUT in a hurry.
