When I bought Bruce's bike there was one thing I hated about it.

Being a black bike it showed dirt very quickly. And, if I got caught in even light rain there were dreaded water spots to contend with.

Something happened. Getting ready for INZANE I put a heavy coat of Meguires spray wax. It was the third time since owning the bike that I waxed the whole bike like that.

Well the clean up after INZANE was so easy and yesterday I did a 100 plus mile ride and got in a nice little rain storm.  No pesky water spots that wouldn't just wipe away easily. Paint and chrome just wipe off with a damp towel and buff with a microfiber towel and it looks like a fresh wax job again :cooldude:

Black is a bit$h to live with as a color on an outside toy. But as you have found a really good penetrating wax or silicone polish or some of the new fast finishes makes it a lot easier. Pledge furniture wax also worked well for me as a fast finish.

When I have had a black vehicle if I washed it I "waxed" it, if not it just did not look right to me. Even a good grade car wash soap seems to leave a slight film that needs cleaning with wax.

They look great when clean and waxed. Have fun and enjoy it.
