I remember yesterday hoping it would rain soon. Well... it's been
raining all morning in my corner of South Carolina. Smokin' Joe called
me to meet them in Suches in North Georgia, but now I've waited too
long to get there on time... I've left out in the rain a bunch this year,
at least the lake is full...

I know where they'll be later  cooldude

First, it rains nonstop like the end of days for 45 days in Spring.

Now we can't get a drop for weeks and weeks of high temps.

(I farted outdoors a few weeks ago, so that probably caused the whole thing) Grin

I won't intentionally take off in the rain unless I have to. Getting caught is another thing.

I know what you mean about the rain since its been raining quite a bit here. I have gotten to like riding in the rain. When its hot it feels so good to cool down and usually you can ride through the rain. I have to think about leaveing in the rain though like you.

When I get wet I really like when I keep riding and it stops raining and I dry out and come out cleaner, cooler.

What I love is riding right behind the storm as it moves off (usually east), watching the rainbow, the clean smell of the air and the way the tires stick so much better with the oil off the road

One of those best rides was on my way to Gig's house,  I let the storm pass over me on 80 and then rode north I think on 20 as the storm passed.

I will start a ride to a fun destination in rain but wont start a workday by riding to work in the rain. I wont pull over unless lightning is seen and even then like racing to catch the ferry across lake michigan to Milwaukee I have sometimes just plowed thru, especially out west where there just is no cover available

I got to see Britman's house yesterday. He used to live in Atlanta. He lives
on this road now  cooldude

After I left Britman's house it was already late. I rode way out (you know, another 50 miles
there and back) to Hiawassee on 76 and also noodled off down a couple of roads off 76.
When I came back through Clayton I found Joe and Reb at the motel...

The Logtruck, which I haven't ridden since right before InZane, started on the first button
push and ran flawlessly.

We sat by the bikes and told lies stories until midnight. This picture relates to one of my stories:
