Last weekend was nuts with family stuff. Never rolled the bike out  :'(
So I took today off and was on 2wheels by 7 am! It was foggy and muggy, to start, but it burned off quick.
Ran the turnpike out to exit 1 just before the NY line. (I couldn't cross that line today)  :coolsmiley:
My plan was to check out some new places to see trains. I found all the places, but no trains. Seemed weird, the CSX line is always busy??? Found 5 great places to view, but nuttin to see.
The heat was building fast so I headed back east. Found a nice mom n pop place and had an egg salad sandwich with chips for under 5 bucks. Perfect for a hot day.
Gassed  up and tried some new roads. Thought back roads would be cooler in the shade, but the caterpillars have stripped the trees so bare, it's  like riding on a slab.
Stopped in Palmer, MA., where 2 rr's cross. Finally caught one going toward CT ( no go there either today), and found out why no trains on the CSX. 2 backhoes digging next to the mainline. Just my luck, least now I know why no trains...
Right about then I could hear my pool calling my name, stopped for an ice cream and hopped in the pool to end the day.
Was a good Monday, 300 miles, found new roads & places to chase trains, and the finger didn't have to be used    :cooldude:

Turns out not what or where,
but who you ride with really matters

Good for you Craig :cooldude:

I spent today building a double deck porch in Sturbridge.

Had to quit at 2pm, cooked.  That sun was brutal.

We hit Mt Greylock yesterday.

Nice ride around the Berkshires.

I always think you New England guys don't have to deal with much heat.

NewValker

Don't mind the heat so much as the 70% humidity...

Come on down to Florida for a week or so! You'll be enjoying and laughing at that 70% humidity.

Peace, Whiskey.

I tell ya, since I changed my halogen minis out for LEDs, I see drivers look at me, start their turn in front of me then stop. Hence, no finger. I aimed the left one out & up just a bit to catch their eye.
Believe I'm more visible with them.
And yes, am always looking out for turners still.

The emperor has no clothes

Sounds like a good ride Craig.  :cooldude: I've been off the bike for 3 weeks now, it feels very strange  ??? (Glad you didn't need "the finger")
