HAAA!!! The link works!! It's alive!!! Rams. Yes the second link worked well and it was a good recording the first link was fubar. I found it very interesting and the guy deserves what he got. I actually had to watch it several times to see the perp pulling the gun from his back pocket and the cop shooting. Did the guy in the video make it? Hearing the shots and seeing who was firing was hard in the first few shots. The first cop there had the taser out and then got his service pistol and was really rapid fire. The other 2 cops took off and I think the one on the right fired one shot since you saw the shell casing in the air but they left the first cop out there alone. Poor backup in my estimation and I sure wouldn't want them on my backside protecting it. The first cop did a great job even warning backup of the gun and where it was. |

When I was a kid I had a run in with a bully and beat his butt but wanted to get him in trouble with his mother. So I followed the kid home and told his mother all that happened. Well her response was OH not my son he is so good and blah blah blah. I stood there stunned, yet somewhat satisfied and it was a great lesson. The kid could have shot the bank tellers but didn't, he actually had compassion on them. He had a plan a purpose and obviously had a problem. He got what he wanted what was deserved and I was glad no cop got hurt, but he was not a viscous killer just a lost soul that needed correction, hope he one day will be normal. If he had gotten the correction in his life from an early age I doubt the officers would have had to put their lives on the line doing the fathers job. The mother being the problem and an enabler to bad behavior. |

While that is a sad thing, I hold this to be self evident, we all have a right to make decisions of life and death. We all (also) are responsible for the consequences of those decisions. Suicide by cop. Dude was snuggling around, probably had been watching some "Police the police" videos or something, got high and decided to snuggle around. Just saying. Police should have used more explicit commands for him to follow. To hell with PC commands. Been there several times in my 22 yr career. Never had to shoot anyone, but I left them with no doubt about what the outcome would be, and was capable and mentally prepared for what may have to be done. Cops involved seemed to explained clearly what would happen, and it did.
