From a concerned friend on Facebook:

For all y'all that know Russ Harris... he has been battling lung cancer for quite some time now and despite treatment and his will to survive his battle is becoming more challenging as each day passes. Russ is in a fight for his life right now and his family as well as his friends here in this group would appreciate everyone to say a prayer for him in hopes for a miracle. He's been a wonderful member to this group and it saddens us to learn of his worsening condition. please say an extra prayer or two for him tonight....all wishes will be forwarded to Russ....Thank you!

If you don't pray, send some positive thoughts his way.

damnit. Torn between calling him and letting him git better. I've Been PRAYING for good news. Russ rode with da prez and me at the Illinois Freedom Ride in 16 the sat right after Inzane was done. Russ had breakfast with da prez TailgateTommy and me. TT couldn't make The Freedom Ride but the three of us did. Year later?? da prez and I were visiting Russ and I was astounded by the array of drugs he was taking then. Rob-you nailed it-one of The kindest gentlest souls I've Ever met!  :cooldude: Prayers up and Ongoiung for Russ from the Missouri Ozarks!  RIDE SAFE.

This kind of news make feel ashamed and selfish when i feel sorry for myself.
Hoping for the best for all involved.   You're strong people to face this.  You're not alone in this.
