Considering it Was the First competition for that electric M/C I M H O they ARE on the right track. Kickin loose some cobwebs here but I believe when I motoed in Japan motos were 20 minutes plus 2 laps. Would those batteries have the range W F O most of the time to do battle in a Race environment That Long?
As an aside I watched the old S T P turbine Indy car at the Milwaukee mile back in the day. When the S T P turbine was hot lapping got a kick out of the announcer. He said-folks in case you're interested the S T P turbine car just went past the start/finish line!  2funny Guessin here but 25 or 30 of those electric M/Cs on the track at the same time and nothing but Electric M/Cs on the track ear plugs and hearing muffs no longer required?  Roll Eyes RIDE SAFE.

I think as the electric dirt bike evolves in its engineering, it will be the sales to the guys who want to ride where gas powered bikes are not allowed because of noise or whatever. I saw the WP front suspension and thoght it might be KTM related because WP is owned by KTM...but it does not look like it. KTM has the E-Ride series but I am not sure on what their intent is in competition.
