I have only done a brake/clutch fluid flush once before on a previous bike but I am going to give it a try with the Valk. I see on various sites they have both regular and synthetic Dot 4 fluid. I am sure our bikes came with conventional fluid, but I would like to go with synthetic. I know you can't mix regular and synthetic Motor oil together, but since I plan on flushing out most of the old fluid anyway, is it ok  to switch to synthetic??  Also, about how many ounces will I need to flush front/Rear brakes and the clutch?

Robert

As long as its not 5.1 fluid you are good to go and technically all brake fluid is synthetic. Its Glycol based absorbs water and removes paint.

What Robert said.  As long as it is DOT4 you are good.  Cover the body panels and watch for drips.  Don't get any on the pads or rotors.  If you do, hose them off w/ brake cleaner.

Be sure to tighten the caps on the reservoirs good.

Does anyone know about  how many ounces are needed for a brake/clutch flush?
