A lot of great music came out of that woman's mouth.  I always enjoyed listening to her music.  RIP

It was noted on Fox News this morning that the Queen of Soul died on the same day as the King of Rock. I wish Elvis could have held on till he was 76, we missed a lot of potentially great music.

She was somethin' else, wasn't she?  She'll go down in the history as one of the great female singers of those times.  She could hold her own in gospel, blues, motown.  Her legacy will define her contribution to that era.
Sang at three inaugurals and that is a whole lot of respect.

That Woman had-terrible to use the past tense-such a Magnificent set of pipes on her!  :cooldude: Can you Imagine Her and James Brown jamming together? Can't zackly recall who but I remember a Special tribute show to divas some years back and one of the "newer" self proclaimed divas took the stage after Aretha's set and we "thought" Aretha had walked off stage Until this self proclaimed one started in on an Aretha standard. Aretha came back out and showed the upstart Zackly HOW it needed to be done! Coolest cursed thing I've ever witnessed in music! THAT Voice and her Own STYLE Will be missed!  :'( R I P Queen Of Soul.
