been thinking of purchasing the subaru crosstek, any good or bads besides only 152hp and sort of on the small side?  looked at the outback and do not think is worth the extra 5 grand in price if not needing the rear cargo room.

Just so you know that is not how the Valkyrie engine works. Each set of pistons on our bikes are opposed.

My son bought one for his wife’s daily. He’s been happy so far.

Are you sure....? with a single shared crank shaft, the con rods must be offset. Do the con rods connect to the pistons off center in order to keep the center line of the opposing pistons perfectly in line? Looks like they are offset slightly to me?

Well, I have to admit I watched the video at the beginning of this thread too fast. Upon closer examination it seems their pairs of pistons do in fact operate in an opposing fashion like our Valkyrie. Sorry for the confusion.

yah, is not bad priced can get one stripped down which is fine with me basic model for 23K out the door.  not too bad pricing for a new car since priced out used 1 year old ones still wanting near 23K and 15-20K miles on them already for near same price as new.

Subaru Crosstrek, we are on our 2nd...had a 2014 and then ordered a 2016. It is her daily and we enjoy it. Thought about getting something a little bigger but we will never need a 3 row.

Yah,  agree we have a 3rd row SUV able to seat 7 comfortably but only have used it a handful of times, thinking we would use it a ton more than that, never have much.  The extra 15 inches or so of storage is nice to have but there again,  only needed to use that much room a handful of times the past few years.

The crosstek will fit 4 comfortably but we need a 5 seater a lot more than  a 7 passenger SUV and the crosstek will not fit 5 comfortably back seat too skinny.  It looks small but once inside fits comfortably, for 4 people anyways, and still get 30-32 mpg or so hwy.  Just not so sure I can get used to 152hp 4 banger vs. 290hp V6 since I like to pass cars along the hwy. often putzing along.
