Christ first and always

Richmond, Kentucky

« on: September 28, 2018, 06:19:44 AM »

I’m back in Richmond Ky today. I had a trailer load of household items to bring from Hopkinsville along with 15 sets of Valkyrie leather saddlebags. I have a guy coming all the way from Pittsburgh to pick them up on Saturday. It will be good to see them go, I had done all the refurbishing and reselling I was going to do.

A road trip for Valkyrie parts is fun especially if there is a mother load to be had. A buddy and I drove across Kentucky and into the Virginia mountains a bunch of years ago. It was a craigslist find and the only way to score was to go have a look see. I came back with two sets of TwoBros 6x6 pipes in fine condition, a tourer windshield with hardware and a bunch of small stuff, I can’t remember all of it. Got it all for the princely sum of $1000.00, I didn’t steal it but I was happy.

I used one set of pipes for a while and I’m still using the windshield but most everything else has been passed on to other riders. I remember Mac McCain ended up with one set of pipes and the other set went to Atlanta.
