I want to give her a big hug and tell her she did good. Had I been her I likely would have been broken hearted and just shriveled up and went into a shell. She's going to find a good man, I'm sure of it.

I suppose, I've never cheated on anyone though.

I think there will be a difference in opinion on the culture of dating depending where you live. I'm in a city of over a million in a small area. Dating here would be drastically different than dating in a city of 100k people.   angel

Good for her!  I wonder how the reception went, especially how many of his friends and relatives attended.

Must have been pretty embarrassing for his parents.

Today's world doesn'r surprise me any more. Even the 'Get even' in a church doesn't.

My opinion doesn't count for much but ,to me, doing this in a church of God (if that's what it was) is not exactly the place to show your hatred.

Oh well, IMO, many couples use a church to put on the expensive "look at me' ceremony and the church is only a convenient place to do it.

I have a half arsed theory. The more money spent on a wedding, the less time the marriage lasts.

I don’t know if it was in a church or not. The article just referenced “walking down the aisle”. But I am pretty sure “today’s world” isn’t exclusive with the cheating. I imagine it’s been going on since the days of cave men. Personally, I thought she handled it rather well. “Celebration of honesty”

I concur, I usually say "The bigger the wedding, the shorter the marriage."

Mine ought to last forever Smiley

On a Saturday afternoon , in August, on the flight deck of the frigate I was stationed on. My fellow officers, the men of my division, wife's and my family. If we spent $1000 on it total I'd be shocked.

Just celebrated 31 years August 8 2018.

Awesome and congratulations  cooldude

AS for the article,

Unsatisfied sex or even sexual intimacy, yup one of the biggest problems in marriages today and few deal with it, thats why prostitutes are still around.

Actually its better she found out now than with kids later, hurtful yes but she has a new chance on life, with nothing to tie her down. Since she decided the relationship was not worth working it out. Ultimately she had the chance to deal with a problem and make the decision if the man and relationship was worth it. She in her thinking should be thanking her lucky stars. I thought this type of thing only happened in the US.

I wonder what type of relationship they would have had if she could have forgiven him and he could have been grateful for the forgiveness. Working the issues of sex and lying plus some self esteem issues out maybe with counseling or prayer, maybe the ideal relationship. Since no relationship does not have its problems to deal with. I do feel sorry for her but it was a disposable relationship so on to the next.

Anything's possible, but it's like putting a deposit on a "deal" of a motorcycle, only to find that's been in a bad accident and the frame is bent; it's better to lose your deposit and save a little more money to buy a cosmetically rough bike with a straight frame.  Better still, wait for a Valkyrie that already in great shape and only needs a few adjustments to make it comfortable.

Sometimes losing money is the least expensive way to pay.

That's exactly how cheaters justify their behavior! uglystupid2
Just like thieves, druggies, etc.
That is not always the case.
Sometimes people just find one another in strange circumstances.
No one is infalible, and infalability is not a justification.
With that said, no one should judge.
That's all I have to say.

The hurt a disappointments that come from a loved one cheating on you takes
some time to get over.
The anger and then questions you ask yourself can endless.
The first time I was married I would come home and not find a parking place in
the driveway. That is when I got burned through and through, I hope that nobody
should have to endure.

Anyone who breaks their wedding vows and expects no one to judge has a twisted idea of morality, no matter how awesome the new person they "found" is.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who found that ridiculous.
