I have a room in the main lodge with 2 bunk beds and although I could try to sleep in them all, it sounds like work!  Currently one lower bunk is taken leaving a lower and 2 upper available.  Reply to this thread or drop me an email or private message if you are interested.

Anyone?

Watch out for the tricky parking lot!

yes.....almost forgot...and we should mention it again as we get closer to the event. EVERY year, somebody drops their bike in THAT parking lot (hotel parking lot). it's deceiving....has a bit of grade to it. Please.....be careful!!!!!!

I remember my wife dropped her bike there in '05.

it's happened to the best of em' Jack. MANY people we know have dropped their bikes in ONE PARTICULAR spot in that parking lot.....every year! It is very deceiving. Doesn't look that bad...until you get right up on it....and IF GOING REAL SLOW......you REALLY notice it!

still looking to fill these beds.....   If you want to stay up top in the lodge, drop a note.  hate to see 3 beds to to waste.

Anyone planning to spend the day at the races Saturday?

Cheaha is one of the events that I have never done, but have always wanted to. This year, it is the week after I moved up to PA for the summer. I'm not sure my wife will like the idea of me not coming home for the first month, but sneaking from PA to AL and bypassing her here in NC. Better not try to take up one of your bunks, otherwise I might not be able to bunk at home  again come next August.
Thanks for the invite. Sounds like a good deal for someone riding down solo to split a room that is already in use. I met you at Inzane. Shared a table. You seemed like good people to me. Have fun without me.

This is my favorite event of the year, hope you can make it sometime.  The riding is great, the festivities are great, the food is exceptional and the company is without equal.

yup. That's what I've always heard. Good fun. Good rides. Good food.  I'll make it one day.

to be honest, i've NEVER been to the AMA super races....despite living "in the backyard" of the track all this time. This year, i'm going to "fix" that. I'm looking forward to seeing some of those races...checking out ALL the MANY vendors....

I'll be picking up the tickets for the group soon. I'll pick up as many as we have registered....sell the tickets up top...return any unused ones. So EVERYONE going has the chance to get a deeply discounted race ticket....should they desire!  :cooldude:

it'll be a FULL day at Barbers...the museum...the races....the vendors....the Bass Pro shop next door...vittles.....

i'll be all worn out and won't be able to eat all of Motomama's fine grub or party any up top that night.................NOT!!!!!!!   ;D   :D

I might need to pack a camp chair on the Valk for this trip...

Super Santa

I will take one.  What are the damages to my wallet?  Just sent my registration money off in this mornings mail.

RedValk

if you do the race/vendor thing....the damage is $25 (it's $40 to the public, but i got us a group rate).

if you do the museum thing....the damage is $13 (it's normally $15)

i'm not sure what Craig wants for chairs.....maybe he'll offer a discount  :uglystupid2:

What was i thinking?????????????    :D

For those staying in the Baldrock Private Lodge (ground zero)....DO NOT go to the hotel to check in. Come STRAIGHT TO THE LODGE...and see Sherry or me....we'll be your "inn keeper". For those staying in Craig's room....get with him. I'll administer the keys to his room to him....and he knows who is staying in the room..........
