I just desmogged and rebuilt my carbs. I have the pilot screws set at 2 1/4. Runs great. Is it worth the $50 to buy the colortune so I can tweak the pilots? Thanks

have never heard of a colortune. Is that suppose to be some sort of tool to adjust the D shape pilot screws on the carbs? I use the little brass hand tool or a 90* ratchet with the D shaped socket on it. It was probably more than 50 bucks though.

The Colortune has a clear spark plug that lets you look into the combustion chamber while the engine is firing. The colour of the combustion flame tells you if the mixture is correct. With the carburettor mixture screw you can then adjust the flame colour to get the correct mixture.
Not my words, British wording I believe from there site. https://www.carbtune.com/colortune.html

I have it and have used it. has to be a pretty dark area to see clearly.  It was always a tool to get one in the ballpark and for constant racetrack atmospheric conditions. is a real help for Individual runner carb systems that used two carbs for one runner. Reason any carburetor jetting/adjustments at a certain temperature is only good for plus/minus 25 degrees of that temp.

best to read and follow FactoryPros low rpm CV carb tuning guide.
FP valkyrie jet instructions run the adjustable needles for the front two carbs one step richer. if all oem just add one extra washer on the oem needles for the front two. makes a difference.
