Anyone ever use silicone type radiator hose?

Since I'm in the middle of an extensive maintenance project on the Valk, my 20 yr. old hoses are getting replaced. Been looking at the colorful FlexFlab silicone base hoses and wonder if anyone has ever used it. It appears the necks the hose slips over are ~27mm, which is just a tad over 1" wide....something like 1.06" which isn't a very big tad. The ID of the hoses appear to be about the same size but are stretched a bit at the connection point. I thought some yellow hose might add a bit of color along with the yellow sparkler wires.

          Fer what it's worth John the last couple years I drove 18 wheeler before I retired all my big trucks came equipped from the factory with all silicone hoses in the cooling/heating system. Don't Know if this are Any help but there ya go!  RIDE SAFE.

I have old cars and run silicon hoses where ever I can. Nothing better in my opinion

I just replaced my 20 year old hoses with oem.  I looked at the silicone, but figured I won't be riding in another 20 years even if I'm still on the planet...

Made it an easy decision...

a race track item. not cost effective for street use, plus special clamps are needed.

unless one has $$$$ that they don't know what to do with.

  John , there is a special hose clamp for silicone hoses. Standard clamps will work , but the coating will ooze thru. A silicone specific hose clamp has a shield on the inside that stops it from happening.
 Do not over tighten. We (used to ) torqued them when we did an install.

I'm with you on that, guess I'll order some OEM unless I can find something for a car that's close enough in fit. I'd love to be still riding another 20 years but not too many in triple digits still doing that.    I'll be happy with another 7-8, Lord willing.

I'd rather try to hide the ugly parts of my motorcycle than highlight them.  I'd rather not use chrome wire wrap or chrome door edging on my gas tank seam, and I'd rather my hoses were all black.
