Well its winter here in northern Illinois,  my bikes are in the garage covered except for the monthly uncover and start up to keep fluids running . Looking forward to an early nice spring

And the sauna is cooling off, took my wife's mighty 800cc Drifter to work yesterday and driving home at 10:30p was nippy but you could not punch the smile off my face.  Still not a fan of Florida anymore, maybe I will retire in a few and move a tad north.

If global warming is happening...why is it so cold up here?

Many move south and realize they went the right direction but went to far, prompting some to move back a short distance to the north. Down here they are called half backs.   Arizona/Colorado is no doubt nice but not for me. It makes my skin crawl and crack and I get Christmas buggars after two weeks.

For myself, I always thought that South Carolina would be a nice place to retire and have a temperate climate year round.

Weather isn't that nice here in Maryland, temperature is now 24 degrees.  Bike is in the garage uncovered waiting for a break in the weather so I can get a short ride in.

. Western part of N Carolina is nice as well.

We had a gathering in Ocala National Forest Saturday and 17 bikes mostly 1520s came. Perfect weather and 200miles traveled from some and 300 miles for others.   :cooldude:

Has been a dream of mine to outfit customize a trailer into a toy hauler that would have room to pull in the bike on one side, have a fold down bed on the other, a small frig and storage up front, maybe even a side door.  Live here in the summer months then hook up the trailer and head southwest to warmer climats and travel the KOA camp sites, or mabe find a good place to rent a space, live there November, December, Januuary, February,  then haul back home for the summers. But now having just purchased a new vehicle,  looks like it will take me 5 years to pay that off. By then I will be 74 maybe too late to do that, not that I dont hope to be still riding, but not for that life style. Should have planned and started sooner. Anyway the job I have is easy work and gives me the extra cash to enjoy riding some extended weekends and a good 2 to 3 week trip each summer, like last years trip to Glacier national park.  Summer is only about 3 months away.
