Thanks for the help.    On the third post I got it to work by going to photostash and copying the link and pasting on the post.

When I was around 10 yrs old and the family would go to Montgomery wards I would beeline back to their Riverside bikes and drool.

My go to place was Caulk Hardware. In the early to mid 60’s they were the only motorcycle retailer in town and they sold the Bridgestone line. I didn’t know anything about bikes but I knew they looked way kooler than the ones I saw in the Sears Roebuck catalog of the day.

Yes, Benelli made it for Wards and mine was a 125cc LOL! I put a lot of desert miles on that bike, I was 8 or 10 years old then.

I used to drool at Wards also over the riverside bikes. I ended up at age 10 of getting a Bridgestone 50.

The Bridgestone were pretty good bikes....don't know why the line disappeared....when I was riding my Gilera 106 my high school buddy had a Bridgestone 100 I think it was .   It ran great and we rode those small cc bikes all over Houston......my Dad woulda grounded my bike iffenn he foundout...ha

never heard of any of them, must have been in the 60s or 70s just missing out on that fun.

try driving those mini bikes illegally on the roads nowadays and probably will not allow you to get your real drivers license when age 16 suspending your future real license.

Heck,  the local ATV laws are stupid when my kid then age 7-9 at the time had his 90cc ATV on a legal ATV road route,  the rule was to shut the machine off and tow it with rope behind a legal ATV rider in front with him steering the small youth ATV.  That is MORE dangerous (think rope gets too much slack gets caught in his ATV and flips his ATV doing 20 mph or more) than him following me on the road route  running the machine wide open throttle 35 mph.   I tried getting this dumb rule changed thru legal means to NO one in the govt. listening to common sense.   I never followed the law and never got stopped was fine him driving better than most adults could.  It was fun when he was age 7-9ish running full throttle 35 mph and keeping up with adults in the whoops adults commenting to me he should be in racing.  Now he drives a 2005 yamaha fjr1300 age 18 and thinks he can whoop on my Valk (and probably can since his bike is tad bit faster) but will not tell him that.

I'll guess that he didn't tell you his bike will redline at 86 mph in second gear or hit 114 at third gear redline in about 11 seconds...His bike will make yours look like a Gilera 106cc!

First bike I ever road was a Sears 106.  A buddy in the neighborhood had one when we were in our early teens, 67-69 I suppose.  A few of us would get together and take turns.  I think his bike was only $199, it was not a lot for even then.  The story was that Sears put in an order for like 30,000 of them and got a mix up with adding an extra 0 making the order 300,000 bikes. Then they had to discount the heck out of them to move them.   Not sure if true.

It is fast, but 100% sure he has not pushed the bike or more like his limits yet doing redlining at those speeds. I know he has gone 85 mph for I was with him, but common sense takes over not pushing it much past that.  I doubt he will push over 100 mph on it and told him not to so kids will listen right always to their parents?
