Ross-Former U S Army-his neighbor Jim-Former Captain Doctor-U S Army-and yours truly-Former U S Navy airedale type one each-went and saw the movie in the title of the post. All of us are Vietnam Vets/Vietnam era Vets. One of the first things Doc noticed was how Bad the teeth of the soldiers were and how far along the trench foot had progressed. The sanitary conditions or Mostly lack there of brought a chuckle when a board broke. If you saw the movie you Know of What I speak. We even stuck around for the half hour nuts and bolts explanation after the movie. Sounds like they have enough material for 2 or 3 more movies on WWI in the same manner. Don't Know if they Will make more from the archives but they SHOULD.
Now for a critique of advertising this Excellent documentary. Actually LACK of advertising. Saw Nothing on the tube saw nothing in print saw nothing on my puter heard nothing on the radio about this movie and the biggest blunder? I M H O you ask! When I went to the theatre to pre purchase the ducats the dude-er dud-knew nothing of the movie nor could he find it in the theatres puter. He had to call his manager and with a bit of coaching from the mgr he located what I was in pursuit of. I stopped by a table on the way out to put away the ducats in my wallet and looked at them. Dumb Ass-I specifically stated 1600 hr performance Not the 1300 hr performance! Got That straightened out. Other than the ticket S N A F U we liked what we saw. Very Sobering. RIDE SAFE.

I did what advertising for it as I could:

http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,104572.msg

The spousal unit took her dad to see it yesterday and they too were both very impressed with how it was put together.

I've read talk that it might get a wider theatrical release in the coming months instead of the two day only thing that they did this time around, but we'll see.

The Blu-Ray is available in the UK, but as of yet they haven't released a US version of it on Blu-Ray...

Glad I was able to get a few more folks into the theater to see it!

When I saw it I was by a good 20 years the youngest person in the theater, that I found kind of sad...
