"DDT" Got Me Thinkin'

About time and miles rode  .

August 2009 I bought my first road bike, a 02" Suzuki Volusia! Small but fun and I had to do a few things to make it comfy for the long haul.



Anyway, I was looking at old info on the Volusia Rider board which included my ride maps. These are the extent of my sight seeing in the three years I had my Vol.




July 30, 2011 a new adventure started!!



Again with some adjustments, I made the Valk comfy for the long haul although I didn't put all the miles on my bike.



On these two beauties over the last seven years I have been fortunate to be able to do a little more sight seeing.





On these ventures I was fortunate to be able to attend InZane in Asheville, Billings and Spearfish. These events allowed me the privilege of meeting many from the VRCC. The real cool thing was being able to ride with my best friends to attend the events!
Not a lot of riding summer past as life changed quite a bit. As many know, getting older isn't a lot of fun and will throw you a curve ball now and then with your health ..... me included. One day all is awesome and the next day ....... well ..... ??? I really hope this summer coming will be a lot better in that category.

I've spent the last ten years on my own and expected I'd do the same for the next ten. This is another category in my life that had an unexpected change. I got myself another beauty but this time it wasn't a bike! She for some reason liked me   and I her  !! So last March this happened.



Now because of this happening, I had to turn my bike into this.



Yup, she likes the bike and looks forward to our short excursions around here but we are hoping to do a longer tour of sorts next June sometime.
Would love to color in the southwest corner of my ride map!

Good things happen to good people, so while I am quite surprised, I'm not totally blown away. Congrats, my friend, and best wishes for you both. Fabulous story...and congratulations!!  If you can swing it, Valhalla gathering is June 20....a couple of us are planning to ride to Taos and then straight back to Merritt here in BC for that. Be great to have Calgary represented there
