When one takes something away and then later offers to return it, that would not really be considered a “overly generous offer”. My comment was really meant as, is he going to back out of what agreed to again because of pressure from a few right wing pundits ? I think the determining factor in that will be how FOX portrays this in the coming days.

If the obstructionist Democrats pass a bill that includes the down payment on the wall as well as the other concessions he's made, and he refuses to sign it (Assuming they don't insert some other poison-pill provision into it, as they love to do) then the onus would be on President Trump.

But right now, until such time as he is presented with such a bill, this is 100% on the Democrats and congress.

Your logic seems convoluted to me. The Republicans controlled all power for 2 years and did nothing in this regards. The Democrats gained control of the House, and 2 weeks later they are obstructionists ?

The Republicans did not have control of the senate.  In today's overly polarized system, control would have to constitute a filibuster proof majority (60).  The house passed a couple of bills that were DOA in the senate.
