I hate it when I'm looking down and some facial hair gets caught in the jacket's zipper and I don't realize until I start to look up.

I hate that too, but there are far worse things to get caught in one's zipper.

If one is getting their privates caught in the JACKET zipper, either the jacket is long or you make the ladies very, very happy... Worst thing I have experienced in the -40 degree wind chill temps we are expecting most of next week is when my eyelashes start freezing shut just by blinking. Had that once, not fun when your eyelashes stick together unable to open your eyes by just blinking which must be done. I think the weatherman said next Wednesday morning -49 windchill, that is ARCTIC COLD. BRRR!

NOT always But once in awhile when I cinch up the helmet strap to snug I realize After that final tug I have a beard hair some way or another got caught up in the D-ring arrangement. THAT smarts a right bit. But as others have stated-well we git the idea. RIDE SAFE.

Try working a zipper in -30 (with bright sunshine) without taking off your gloves. All sorts of thing can get stuck.

In that kind of weather, I think it's safer to pee in your pants (with your gloves on). Warmer too.

I've been sitting here trying to think of the good things about cold weather.
All I can think of is:
1) I always sleep better in cold weather (turn the heat down at night, and the room is cold).
2) It's not 88* or above with high humidity. IE, it's not hot weather.
3) My electric bill is lower (but my gas bill is higher).
4) I don't have to mow the grass.
That's all I can come up with.

I hear yah, they just updated it yesterday Wednesday morning -63 degree windchill now. I do not think EVER that I can remember windchills being below -50.... I already got ice creeping inside my wooden patio door in the right corner about 6 inches long by 2 inches high INSIDE my house and only -20 or so now windchill.

5) No bugs while riding.
6) No moist monkey butt. Drift: So I told my new neighbor (maybe 30) who just got a mint used Suzuki CT50 (805cc) and is riding to work every day to DC (except snow, but frigid temps) that he needed to be real careful about frozen spots on the streets and bridges (especially leaving and returning in the dark). Then last week, his bike disappeared (no garage). I saw him yesterday and asked where the bike was, and he said the shop. I hit a patch of ice and slipped pretty badly, but I got it slowed down and under control, then put my foot down, and it slipped right out and I went over. I wasn't hurt, but the bike got dinged up. Ahhh.... the enthusiasm of youth. His next surprise will be the Dealer bill for very minor work.
