Daughter just got a job in Tacoma. We know nothing about it accept the rainy season. Sounds like a beautiful place.

I'm a  few hours North of Tacoma and have frequented the area often over the years. She, and you will like Tacoma...lots to do and see both on the coast as well as inland. Neighboring Seattle is busy (never get caught on I-5 going to/from in the busy times of day). Like here  in SW BC,  there can be a lot of rain but  mostly in the Winter months (beats long cold Winters)....Summers and early Fall are generally long and nice. There are several members that live in that area ( NW board), some we've made good friends with over the years. Best of luck to your daughter in her new job :cooldude:

The emperor has no clothes

I was stationed in Bremerton for 9 months during the winter. I couldn't take it. I think there were 6 sunny days. (Sorry to rain on her parade) I hope she likes it there.  :cooldude:

She grew up in Minnesota and lived in West Africa for 4 years. She has adapted to extremes. I'm sure the cost of living is high. I hope this works out.

Don't let desert folks scare you... While Winters are wet, they are mild. Springs can be pretty decent, Summers are fantastic and long, and Falls are very nice. The rain is what makes everything green and beautiful. It's a great climate for folks who like to be active outdoors.
Ride out to visit her in June, then join up with our NW friends and come on up to our Valhalla gathering in BC  :cooldude:
