appears from video the car in front of the first cycle was slowing down so the cycle slowed down and 2nd cycle never slowed down not paying attention having plenty of time to slow down.  daydreaming I guess?  Then again,  I have taken my eyes off the road for 1-2 seconds in vehicles and cycles and stuff happens very quickly near rear ending another car or veering off the road in a mere 1-2 seconds.
