No, I didn't. But since the spousal unit is in sales she needs to stay current on modern cultural events, so she watched. I stayed in the other room enjoying some Buffalo Trace Bourbon, but couldn't help but hear it from the other room...

I was getting upset about the cheaters win again, but this article changed my mind, I'm glad to see the Trump supporting White Supremancy team win! Wink Congrats Baldo! Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

2funny you were so upset that you went and found a 2 year old article ? You should probably just leave the sportsballing  to your Mom and wife, er...spousal unit.

Agreed,,,,weak.

The Lombardi Trophy walk to the podium was disturbing.

I never saw so many guys kissing balls before in my life.         (the trophy top is a football)

Congratulations Pats;  Belichick, Brady, and especially the hardest working man on the field Julian Edelman.  cooldude

Hey, I was TRYING to find common ground, but if you insist on a more recent article:

Or this one:

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/new-england-patriots-robert-kraft-donald-trump_us_5c55552ce4b087104753b74b

Or this one:

Or a little here:

So.... Yay! Trump's Team won!  angel  angel  angel

Go Patriots!!! Woot!!!  Evil
As a non sportsballer and a youngster at that, I'm sure you don't recall The Donald's history with football and the NFL. Trump has no team, never has. Even as owner of the Generals it was all about him. Be cursed any team.

The wife wanted to watch the half time show so, we did.  (Otherwise I would have been watching any John Wayne movie.)

Such a disappointment for both of us........

Admittedly, the Pats have always been my second favorite team, the Chiefs being my favorite.

Honestly feel the two best teams were not invited but, ya can't beat an uncalled pass interference play.

Not an easy street to get to the Super Bowl but ya have to put the offense on the plane in LA and get em off in Atlanta!!! A no show but at least they were one play away from the lead for most of the game...it was the greatest show on turf....for defense!!! But thanks to my beloved Rams for a great year of entertainment. I'll take it!   Shape

cooldude it’s always tough for the loser in the SuperBowl. They kickass all year and then are remembered for losing the game. I think you guys have a great team. Were it not for that mistake Goff made while getting blitzed it could very well have went their way. I’m in the minority, I enjoy a good defensive game. I am a little perplexed that they couldn’t cover Edelman all night though.

Well Rob, you forgot to mention what 6 pack, so I'm thinking a six pack of Velocity Stacks, or Spark Plugs, or Exhaust Gaskets, or something that ships well.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Alright, 6 pack of Yinglings, next time we meet face to face. Wink

I'll look forward to it. cooldude

I almost forgot, make sure you bring the kusie. (sp?)

I was really entertained by the conference championship games, and was looking forward to the Super Bowl.  After Gladys Knight's big play, the game bored me, the half-time show bored me, and the commercials had my daughter asking, "What's with their obsession with robots?"

And what's the big deal about corn syrup, anyway?

Did someone tell Adam Levine he wasn't actually allowed to sing the word "Jagger" in his song, "Moves Like Jagger"?

In depth details on why the Patriots won.  Bill Belichick, one name above all.  The General of Generals.
Please, no comments from the peanut gallery of the uninformed/uninterested; they have proven themselves the greatest franchise in the history of American professional football of the modern era (flaws, warts, et al.).    Much, much respect to the Pittsburgh Steelers though, as the torch was passed.

Please...No doubt, no discussion, no arguments, no nothing, go home. Lips Sealed

Duck boats down Boylston tomorrow!  First the Red Sox and now the Patriots!  Celtics next? cooldude(crossed fingers).

Not much of an NFL fan, never really have been, but the wife is so we watched the game.
I do not have a favorite team nor a fan of any so I'm pretty unbiased as games and teams go.

This superbowl was probably the least dramatic superbowl in history.
I thought right out of the gate that Brady looked lethargic. Like he went to an all you can eat buffet before the game. He just didn't seem crisp and sharp. Still an awesome QB even so. But he seemed off early on. Pats prevailed. Lots of great performances. 0 drama.

Rams had a hard time but their defense was great, most of the game anyway.

I don't think they reviewed any calls at all. Thought they let a lot of calls slide, particularly holding, but that was on both sides. Again, nothing really dramatic.

Overall a good, but undramatic, game.

I realize the game was in Atlanta, but the pre-game program was a heavy dose of Listen to us about  Civil Rights.

It's a football game not social studies. Thought it got a bit heavy handed on that overall.

Gladys Knight, outstanding. That is how it is done.

The 100th anniversary NFL commercial was great!
The Amazon one was pretty good too. The one with Harrison Ford's dog ordering from Amazon

Good analysis.  Yes, the game was a defensive standoff until the fourth quarter but not boring to the observant fan. There is holding on every play these days whether it is in the interior line play or downfield on any pass play.  That was not the case 40, 50 years ago and I can't figure out why the referees allow it in the era of cameras viewing everywhere and from every angle.  Taints the integrity of the game on the field (reference to New Orleans being robbed) for the fans.  The NFL is going to lose more viewers if they continue to condone these policies.  Frankly, I admit that the only game I viewed this year was yesterday, but appreciation for the athletic abilities of these giant-sized men remains.

As for Brady?  He's been in the league 19 years where the average player only lasts 6; yes, he is a quarterback and not a hitter at his position.  Still, it's a grind relative to what the body can endure for all that time.  I think the guy is a specimen that may be able to walk away from his time if he quits now.  Most old pros are cripples in the body and mind.

True story. Definitely not as exciting as some of their others.

Until the end, that is.

I enjoy good defensive games, but that score was a little close for a little too long.

Can't blame him too much.   Most of the nation, the NFL, the media and the refs agreed, the Saints got robbed.

Could have been a completely different outcome had that flag been thrown (as it should have been).

It is, what it is.   Being a Cheifs fan first and a Pats fan second, I would have still pulled for the AFC but, oh well, it doesn't matter now......

So freeking what. I think the president has much more pressing things to think about then hosting a football team. Just saying.

You know it's real pathetic for you to turn a benign thread about the superbowl into a way to once again bash the president. You got TDS so bad you can't leave him out of anything. It's just pathetic.
