Has anyone listed an item for sale on Ebay lately? i tried today and it seems that the format has changed for the worse.
Any comments?

I posted some Valkyrie bling on there the day before yesterday. Chrome Side Covers, Solo Rack, Front Fork Covers , and a set of Cobra Radiator Side Covers. It took a while to figure out the new format, but after doing the first one the other ones were pretty easy. It had probably been a year since the last time I used Ebay and the format has definitely changed.

They are trying to make it so automated. Tries to push you in a certain direction. I could not select  a 30 day By It Now. Limited categories.  I was trying to list concert band sheet music and the categories were not there. Every time eBay does something, it gets worse. The new format should come with electronic crayons.

The format is actually simpler for me, also relisting is almost automatic.
The biggest change I see is the traffic has slowed to a snails pace. Used to, the most obscure item would get a multitude of views and almost an automatic sale for whatever I listed. Seems like there are fewer auctions + the shipping costs have skyrocketed.
I sold a vintage Oldsmobile dealer license frame and charged $5 shipping. Cost me just under $13 postage to Washington state.
So many other options for listing free, like Facebook, craigs list etc.

What I would do is search ebay as if I was looking to buy concert band sheet music. When it takes you to the category select a similar item you have for sale and in the listing it will have a place you can select to sell one like the listing you are viewing and it will take you to the correct category. Give this a try, makes it very simple.

cooldude Maybe the selling of an item has been changed but I would think for the better. However, buying I've had my share of purchases w/o issue. I should give it a break.  Roll Eyes

Thanks for the replies. I prefer it the way it used to be. That and I don't trust eBay, money grabbers that they are

it seems to me that most products that get "UpDated" are not as good as the previous version.
